Boy in Reading, Pennsylvania

I like this cabinet card in general, but I’ll admit I bought it specifically because I think the boy pictured bears an uncanny resemblance to a kid I babysit. The photographer is New York Gallery in Reading, Pennsylvania. It turns out there were multiple photography studios across the country calling themselves “New York Gallery”, presumably to give themselves an air of glamour and sophistication. A page here shows examples from a number of different locations, including quite a few from Reading.
