Always, Odell

This 3.5 x 5.75-inch photo is pretty ordinary, and a bit worn, but it makes me happy. I’m actually not sure if the date at the bottom is “Feb. 1951” or “Feb. 14 51”. If it’s the former, then it’s 74 years old this month. If it’s the latter, then it’s 74 years old today. I also don’t know if the date refers to when the photo was taken, or when Odell presented it to the recipient, or both. Either way, if the date refers to Valentine’s Day, it’s possible the recipient was a sweetheart, maybe the very person who put that smile on Odell’s face.
