Rufus and Buster

I’m intrigued by the angle here. It’s surprising that somebody felt the need to get so low to the ground to take this picture. But it almost looks like the angle you’d see if he used a self-timer and set the camera on the ground. A quick internet search indicates that some cameras with timers began appearing in the 1950s, but I would have thought this photo was older. Whatever the case, the angle makes for a fun image. The focus appears to be off, with the most in-focus areas of the image being the car and what’s behind the car, but that’s most noticeable when you enlarge it. Just holding it in my hand it looks fine. Written on the back of this 2.5×3.5-inch photo is “Rufus Price / ‘Buster'”. I’m going to assume Buster is the dog. π

Buster was a good boy. He even smiled for the camera.
Ha! Yes, he did!
