On the steps at No. 104

What it is:

Two photos, each measuring approx. 2.25 x 3.25 inches.

What I know about it:

Nothing!  Undated and unidentified.

Comments:

Some fabulous hats here.  The girl in white seems to be the center of attention, but that could just be a coincidence.  There may be other photos of this occasion that don’t even involve her.  And what occasion is this, if any?  It’s hard for me to know.  But it’s still fun to stare at these people.

  1. What a fun pair of photos! I do wonder what’s going on in them. And those hats! 🙂

  2. A mystery! In the right frame, it looks as if another woman in white is on her way out the door. Also, the poses suggest family members. So I’m guessing it’s a graduation ceremony, or maybe a confirmation. I love the look of pained forbearance on the face of the bowlegged man in the bowler hat.

    • Paul, I agree. Our eyes are initially drawn to the ladies standing in the forefront in their more flamboyant outfits, but as soon as our eyes drift to the men in their plainer clothes and more retiring positions, we realize that there are whole novellas written on their faces.
