Photographer is Carl Thiehs of Vienna, Austria. Otherwise undated and unidentified.
Comments:
I’m assuming this is a wedding portrait, based on her bouquet and everybody’s boutonnieres, but I’m open to suggestions if anyone thinks otherwise. She looks like she’s got an entire bouquet on her hat, too. And I must say the gentlemen are sporting a fine array of glorious mustaches. This looks like quite a grand moment for this family.
I love the mustaches if only I could grow one like that 😉
If you do grow one, I expect to see photos of it on your blog. 🙂
The cabbage roses (or whatever) look appropriate on her hat. Please tell me that the bouquet which appears to be springing from the crown is really painted on the backdrop – or atop some column or other decorative item behind the bride. If so, the photographer erred in his composition of the portrait.
Sorry, but I think that extra bouquet sticking up is indeed stuck in the hat.
I’m assuming the one springing up over the balding head of the man on the right is on that mantel thing in the background–funny how it sort of matches the one on the hat.
Agreed. As far as I can tell, the ones behind the man are painted on the backdrop and the ones over the woman are real ones attached to her hat.
