Not much to say about this one. It’s just a handsome portrait of a handsome young man. While I know nothing about the sitter, I did find this biography of the photographer, George Knox Merrill, including the tidbit that after spending thirty years running a photography business, he went on to distinguish himself in the field of lichenology.
