Comments:
Here’s another one that has obviously seen better days, but that has an image I like enough to post and share. 43 Canal Street would have been at the fringes of the Little Italy neighborhood around the time this photo was taken, and I don’t think it’s just the address that makes me suspect he’s of Italian descent or origin. Today that address is on the edges of Chinatown. Out of curiosity, I looked online to see what’s in that location now. And guess what, it’s a photo service!
Thanks what my hair would have looked like back in the day. Looks like my great……uncles? hair.
Yes, I know what you mean. I have wavy, curly hair, too. Oh, the wonders of modern products and styles to help tame it. 🙂
I like the damaged photos. Torn edges and besmirched paper makes the otherwise carefully posed and staged people and backdrops feel real.
Others have said they like the damaged photos, too. I’ll have to have more confidence in posting them.
He looks lke the man who plays the “dancing” teacher to Ned’s daughter (Arya?) in Game of Thrones.
I had to google it, but yes, I see what you mean. 🙂
