Here’s another flawed image that I nevertheless keep returning to, so maybe others will enjoy it as well. This young man, do you suppose perhaps he’s headed off to college?

Or perhaps he is a salesman (door to door?) and that is his sample case. It looks well used.

Is that a “38” on the suitcase? Can you make out what is says below it? I like the salesman theory – this guy doesn’t look all that young to me, and he looks a bit road weary.
Yes, it does look like a “38”, but I don’t know what it might mean.
It’s not a suitcase, it’s a postal package tied up with string (a pretty beat up one). I would guess that he has arrived to visit someone and picked up the package at the post along the way. I wonder what is in the package…was it given to him or is he giving it to someone else? He looks as if he is dutifully getting his picture taken, doesn’t seem thrilled about it.
