Click here to view it larger.
What it is:
Photo (3.75 x 4.75 inches) mounted to a cardboard frame/backing (5.5 x 6.5 inches; I’ve cropped some of the cardboard from the scan).
What I know about it:
Nothing! Undated and unidentified.

Here’s another one that can be added to the flawed-but-interesting category. It seems to be overexposed, making it hard to see, but I think there’s still a lot to enjoy about it. The woman in the foreground seems decked out for an outing, and is proudly showing off the fine horses that will take her where he’s headed. A man is already at the reins, another woman waits in the rear to attend, and a second man is observing the scene from behind the gate to the right. (I didn’t even notice the last man until I enlarged the image and took a closer look.) The camera angle and the shining sun make these horses look majestic. By the way, I was going to call this one “Surrey with the fringe on top”, but I tend to get confused trying to sort out carriage types, so I decided to play it safe.
She looks like she’s ready to have a lovely time! I missed the two men completely! Glad someone can see.
Don’t feel bad, I didn’t notice them until I looked at the enlarged scan. I think there might even be another person by the man at the gate just out of camera range, but I can’t quite tell.
