Creepy lurking men, or vintage photobombs
Click here to view it larger.
What it is:
Three photos, ranging in size from 3 x 2.5 to 2.5 x 3.5 inches. The bottom one has remnants of glue and black paper from having been mounted in an album.
What I know about it:
Nothing! Undated and unidentified.
Comments:
In modern parlance, a “photobomb” is when somebody or something gets in the frame of a photo, either by accident or design, and ruins the shot. (People making faces in the background, pets running into the shots, etc.) The results can often be hilarious, and there are plenty of funny examples all over the web these days. While these photos might not quite rise to the level of hilarious, they do make me giggle with their men lurking behind the people posing. And, of course, the vintage clothing and faces from another time are interesting in themselves.
Just wonderful, Matt! Made me giggle, too.
Thanks, Catherine! 🙂
They’re hilarious!
Thanks, Mrs. P! 🙂
Funny photos! That last one on the bottom is the creepiest; the man in the background is so threateningly shadowed. So funny! I have a picture of my great-grandpa as a young man that has some mysterious face looking through a window near the top of the photo. It always makes me smile. You can see it here if you’d like. 🙂 http://thecozyred.wordpress.com/2011/10/23/great-grandpas-art/
Thanks for the link, Jenna! That photo on your site is fun.
It reminds me of the observers from Fringe 🙂
Are you sure they aren’t? 😉
