What it is:
Real photo postcard trimmed down to a bit less than 3.5 x 4.5 inches.
What I know about it:
Undated and unidentified, but the paper manufacturer’s markings (AZO, four triangles pointing up) narrow the date range to 1904-1918.
Comments:
I figured I’d better break up the monotony of child pictures by posting something from the other end of the age spectrum. When I posted this photo of a young woman wearing a necktie, the question arose as to whether that was a common style. While this photo doesn’t answer that question, it at least provides another example.
I wouldn’t want to mess with the one sitting in the chair…she might hurt me!
Yep. She looks like she could plow the fields single-handed.
Neckties were very common for women during this period.
So I’m gathering. 🙂
