Comments:
I had a pleasant surprise last week when my friend Christine [harriedcostumer] gave me a belated birthday gift of a bundle of old photos! They are mostly snapshots from the 1950s, and they seem to show some of the same people. I think this guy appears more than once, though he isn’t identified. What I love about this one is that for such an amateur photo, it gives the impression of careful composition, almost like somebody was trying to create a portrait. But it’s such an odd angle! The photographer is down on the floor, and has managed to showcase the man’s feet almost as much as his face. Still, it’s a nice photo, and it’s fun to inspect all the period detail.
May be it was a young photographer just practicing on dad?
I like that idea, Charlie!
