Comments:
I would love to see this in full color. Are these the resident musicians in this particular nightspot? Is Mariachi Los Vaqueros the name of the place? The name of the band? Both? Neither? (A quick internet search shows multiple bands with that name, past and present.) Is the man in the wheelchair a member of the band, or perhaps somebody being celebrated with music that evening? Whatever the situation, it looks like a fun scene. (By the way, the writing over the door appears to be one or more ads pasted there. I can make out the first word as “Seagram’s” and the last word as “whiskey”.)
Looks like it wouldn’t be out of place in an old Clint Eastwood movie! ‘Los Vaqueros’ means ‘cowboys’. I’d take a guess that the guy in the wheelchair is a ‘birthday boy’ and they’re seranading him!
That’s probably a good guess.
I’m going to guess 1950’s, based on the haircuts and pants. This is a great find!
Thanks!
