Comments:
Adorable, isn’t he? One thing that often crosses my mind when looking at vintage photos is the perspective of the image’s place in history. For instance, from my perspective, the space age seems a relatively recent thing, while the age of flight feels like older history. Yet the first manned space flight happened 58 years ago, while this boy is flying his toy plane just 32 years after the Wright Brothers flew the first plane at Kitty Hawk.
I just love his outfit, too!
Agreed!
He is a cutie! I always marvel about your late paternal great-grandmother. She lived through traveling by horse and buggy, then automobiles and airplanes to a man landing on the moon. That is a lot to assimilate in a lifetime.
It sure is. If you hope to live a long time, I guess you’d better be prepared for change.
My dad always makes that same comment about his father!
