Photographer is William F. Dean of Williamsport, PA.
Comments:
I suppose it’s through practice that you can look that serene when wearing that corseting. The photographer, William F. Dean (1856-1899), was, according to this page, sole proprietor of his photography business from 1887 until his death in 1899, suggesting this photo is from between those years (which makes sense based on the photo itself). Another blog I follow, called The Cabinet Card Gallery, has another example of this photographer’s work, seen here. I’m sure it’s just the power of suggestion, but I can’t help think there’s a family resemblance between the two women in these pictures.
