What it is:
Photo measuring 3 x 2 inches. Mounting traces on the back from having been glued into a photo album.
What I know about it:
Written on the back in pencil is Baby sitting / 2 Marchants / David Ferguson / Harold Minerve. I’m actually guessing on that last name, See this scan if you’d like to take a shot at deciphering that handwriting.

Comments:
Once again, I’ve slacked off on updating my blog. But last weekend, I ran into my friend Jennifer at a holiday party, and she gave me the gift of several old photos, so it’s time to share again. I’ve noticed that sometimes, the more information you get about an image, the more questions you have. I think this is a good example. It’s easy to glance at this photo and think it’s a cute image of four children, and not think much more about it. But the names on the back, and the indication that the photo was taken by their babysitter, makes me wonder things. Presumably the two on the left are siblings, but are the other two related? Is the babysitter related? Where and when is this? Is babysitting these kids a normal thing, or is this a special occasion?
