Sometimes, when I’m sorting through a bin of old photos for sale, I get excited when I spot pictures that obviously belong together. I sometimes buy them, feeling they should stay together, only to have mixed feelings later when I realize their relation to each other is the most interesting thing about them. But these are a little different. These four photos jumped out at me, largely because they were colorful images in a sea of black-and-white pictures. They are all snapshots measuring 3.5 x 3.5 inches, all Kodachrome prints, and all date-stamped between February and July of 1961. As I looked at them, I realized I was seeing the same people in each. Don’t the blond man and brunette woman in the lower left picture each appear in two others? Doesn’t the couple in the upper left that includes the woman in the lavender dress also appear in the upper right? Isn’t the wood paneled room the same in three of them? These people are having a good time, and I think they’re fun to look at, especially given that there are multiple images of them. Now I’m just wondering if I missed any, if I need to go back and look through the bin for some more pictures of these people.

Intriguing. I want to know more about these people. You may need to go back. π
Yes, I think I may. π
