Two boys on a big chair in San Francisco

Sometimes, when I see a photo like this, I wonder to what extent it’s intended to reflect the actual lives of the subject. Are we expected to believe these boys actually live in a home that has a chair like that? Or did they just pick it out of the studio’s props because it looked impressive, or like something they could have fun climbing on? It’s certainly grand, and the boys are looking pretty sharp. The photo is just under 4×6 inches, and has glue and brown paper on the back, probably from being mounted into a cardboard frame. Per the embossed logo on the lower right, the photographer was Strye Studio in San Francisco. The names Dominic and Mike are written on the back, presumably these boys’ names, though I can’t quite make out their last name. 1. That’s a very fancy chair! The dragon makes me wonder if it was Chinese in origin.
