Another unusual dress, in Quebec

Some years ago, I posted a photo of a woman in an unusual dress (here). I didn’t recall ever seeing an outfit like it, and nobody else seemed able to recognize the style. Now, a decade later, I’ve found another one. It’s not exactly the same, but it’s similar enough. Has anybody seen this, or know what this style is called? This photo is a smaller one, the photo approximately 1.75 x 2.5 inches on a cardboard back measuring 2.5 x 3.75 inches. The photographer is Pierre-Fortunate Pinsonneault, of Trois-Reievieres, Quebec, Canada, who was apparently noteworthy enough that somebody made a documentary about him, which you can watch here. (I haven’t watched it, beyond skimming it to see if this woman is pictured, since it’s over an hour long and I don’t speak French.)
