Sarcastic comments about the parents

What it is:

Snapshot measuring 4.5 x 2.75 inches.

What I know about it:

Undated and unidentified.  Written on the back in pen:  Snapped when the distinguished member of the Faculty and his wife were wholly unaware of the presence of the camera.  Of course, you recognize the location, passing the row of tents on the way up to the Guest Inn.  Though it was in very mid-summer, notice that winter garments are worn.  Mama says she never picks her nose, but circumstantial evidence is against her.  It is not known who or what is being looked at, but in any case, the two celebrated personages seem to be good natured as they look.

Sometimes the writing on the back of a photo eclipses the photo itself.  I couldn’t resist posting an example.  I go back and forth in trying to decide if the handwriting belongs to a man or a woman.  And yes, it is rather tiny handwriting to squeeze all that text onto the back of that small snapshot.

  1. For obvious reasons, this poem by Shel Silverstein came to mind:
    Inside everybody’s nose
    There lives a sharp-toothed snail.
So if you stick your finger in,
He may bite off your nail.
    Stick it farther up inside,
And he may bite your ring off.
Stick it all the way, and he
May bite the whole darn thing off.
