I guess this photo has some emulsion issues or something, but I’ll post it anyway. The image always cracks me up. That kid’s expression is priceless.
It may just be me, but where is the light source in the picture? It looks to be coming from right side, and above, of the picture. The kid should be more in shadow. Compare the shadow on the necks of the two old people looking toward the camera, to any shadow on the kid. Call the mythbusters, or whoever does those photoshopped fails!
Ha! Good question. I doubt it’s actually a trick photo, but the lighting question is interesting. Since light seems to be coming from the upper right, I’m guessing that the kid is standing in direct light that is coming between the woman and the man on the right. But I’m still not sure how the kid’s face is so well lit. I’m guessing it’s just a lucky chance that there’s a lot of light bouncing off something. But I’d be interested to hear what others think.
I love love love this photograph. He’s having a blast, whatever they were just doing, and those people love him.
Yeah, I think it’s a really sweet picture.
