What it is:
Photo measuring 2.75 x 3.75 inches.
What I know about it:
There is a photo developer’s date stamp on the back that is faint and hard to read. It appears to have been developed by Calaway Moore (“Expert Kodak Finishing”) of a town that looks something like Gainsboro, Georgia, though I don’t think such a town exists. The date it was processed is clear, at least: January 20, 1941.
Comments:
I like the way there are so many clashing elements here (the contrasting stripes of her jacket and skirt, the squares of the floor tiles, the curves of the bench), and yet the overall impression I get from the image is one of simplicity.
It seems to be a stripe overload!
Yes, or a stripe sampler. 🙂
