Tintype of an intense man

Click here to view it larger.

What it is:

Tintype (1.5 x 2.25 inches) affixed to a cardboard frame (2.5 x 4 inches.)

What I know about it:

Undated and unidentified.  Printed on the back is Additional copies of this picture can be sent by mail at any time by addressing the Artist., but there is no indication who the artist was.  Although unidentified, it is from an album, other photos from which can be found here.

After a week of mostly snapshots, I figured I’d better post something older, so I pulled out what I call my Wisconsin Album, which contains all CDVs and tintypes.  This guy sure looks intense, and it’s almost funny to see him glaring out from that frilly border.  I’m not sure, but it’s possible he’s the same guy pictured here.

  1. His mustache matches his hair…..curly on the ends

  2. “How do you plead?”
    I’m guessing guilty.
Great cheekbones, nice chin dimple. Would be really nice to see him smiling. Can’t tell if he’s the guy in the casual cigar tintype you linked to, but I hope so. 😉
