While I have plenty of other portraits of people making eye contact with the camera, this one has always seemed unusually bold and direct.

Thanks, glad you like it. I have another that I think might be the same kid, but younger. I have no idea how his life unfolded, but it’s natural to wonder. Interesting to think he has a kind face. To me he looks handsome, but a little cocky. But it’s opinion, so nobody’s wrong. 🙂
He should have sued his barber.
At the very least, let’s hope that’s not a style that returns.

That gaze is actually kind of frightening.
I agree, it’s a little intimidating.
I think he looks to have fazed out. He looks as though he is meditating.
I suppose it’s easy to get into a meditative state if you’re holding a position waiting for the photographer to finish the job.
