What it is:
Photo (2.5 x 3.5 inches) mounted to a cardboard frame/backing (approx. 4.5 x 6.5 inches).
What I know about it:
Photographer is Sandberg’s Studio of Omaha, Nebraska. The men are identified as Ralph and Ray Weimer. Click on the link above to see other notes on the back, which mostly seem to relate to who owns the photo and/or where it was sent.
Comments:
As I mentioned in a previous post, I sometimes find it amusing to do an eBay search on my own last name. Sometimes the items that turn up are vintage photos, and I have been known to buy them, even though I don’t assume there to be any direct relation. This is an example. I’m assuming Ralph and Roy are brothers, but they may be something else like cousins. It’s interesting the way they are crowded together, as if there were no other option for framing the image. And it’s interesting that Nebraska is spelled “New Braska” on the back, which, as far as I can tell, is simply an error, not a vintage spelling. But a bit of Googling shows that it is not a unique error for that time.
I always enjoy photos of Weimer boys. 😉
