Written in pencil on the backs of the second and third photos is Margot Fischer.

Here are three more of the photos my friend Christine (“harriedcostumer”) brought back for me from her trip to Hamburg, Germany last fall. Is it safe to assume that the name written on the back is the name of the girl in the picture? And since the girl on the left appears to be the same girl as the others (especially the one on the right), that they are all Margot? In the first one, they appear to be in fancy dress costume for some sort of community event. In the one on the right, the doll she’s holding looks like it’s eating a banana or something, but I’m probably just not seeing it right. And the middle one couldn’t be more adorable. The boys look different, and I don’t know who they are. Brothers? Friends? Or perhaps Margot had her share of young suitors.

Ha ha! The doll does look like it’s eating a banana, but I think it’s just the doll’s hands.
Yes, I’m sure there’s some reasonable explanation, but it does look odd to me. I’m glad you see it, too.
