Girl in New York City, standing on a chair
Click here to view it larger.
What it is:
Photo (a bit larger than 3.75 x 5.5 inches) mounted to a cardboard frame/backing (5.25 x 7.25 inches).
What I know about it:
Photographer is T. Schonberg of New York, New York. Written on the back in pencil is (if I’m reading the handwriting correctly) Gertrude Hamill.
Comments:
This photo isn’t in the greatest condition (what looks like dirt on her dress is dirt on the photo), but I love the image anyway. The adorable outfit, the quirky use of the chair, but most of all the take-no-prisoners attitude little Gertrude is conveying.
She did so well!!!
🙂
She looks very comfortable in that pose. I like the set up the photographer chose.
Yes, she looks like she belongs there.
Like a doll ! Beautiful capture .
It always amazes me how doll-like some of these kids are in their fancy portrait clothes.
🙂 it is maybe our imagination .
I bet she grew up to be quite the spitfire! Love this one!
Thanks!
