This is the last of the six photos my friend Jon gave me for my birthday a few week ago. There was another one of a girl or young woman which you can see here. I wasn’t sure if this was the same person or not. I’m leaning toward not, but perhaps they are sisters? That’s a grand outfit, and she looks very happy in it.
That is quite the oversized collar. The jacket also looks too big around the shoulders. It is another great picture.
Yes, everything looks a little outsized. I wonder if the position of her arm is part of what’s making the shoulder look ill-fitting.
This is the first one that has given me the sense that it is a dressing studio as well as a photography studio. Her clothes are oversized and she almost has an expression of play. I hadn’t realized that this sort of thing was done back then. I thought it was only a modern activity.
That could be. Or she could just be wearing ill-fitting clothing and having a lot of fun. 🙂
