Comments:
One of the advantages of being disorganized is that one is always having surprising discoveries.

I’ll be the first to admit I’m a pack rat, and an unrepentant one at that. But sometimes, as now, I find it necessary to drag my apartment back across the line from hoarder to pack rat. So this evening, as I was sorting things, throwing things out, and rooting around under my bed, trying to find more space to cram things, I came upon a box I didn’t recognize. I opened it, and it was full of vintage photos! Hundreds of photos that I had completely forgotten about! All these years of doing this blog, and I was unaware that they were lying just feet away under my bed. I suppose I should be embarrassed, but I was thrilled. I haven’t even managed to go through them all yet, but I knew I had to post one right away. This one was right at the top of the box, and appears to be from a bunch that mostly contain individual women from The Netherlands, all from roughly the same time period. Googling the photographer was tricky since there’s a Dutch photographer of the same name operating today, but in a different city. I like her look. She looks like she’s ready to go.
What a wonderful discovery. Glad you went rummaging.
So am I!
“Ready to go” is exactly what I thought!
And yet somehow she doesn’t look impatient to me. I like the look.
