Man in Vancouver, Washington
Click here to view it larger.
What it is:
Real photo post card measuring 3.5 x 5.5 inches.
What I know about it:
Embossed photographer’s logo is for Kunselman Photo of Vancouver, Washington (Washington is abbreviated “WN” here). Paper manufacturer’s markings on the back (AZO, all four triangles pointing up) narrow the date range to 1904-1918.
Comments:
This guy could almost be a present-day hipster if the photo weren’t a century old.
Also, to my eyes and memory, he could easily be from the late 60s early 70s. Around the time women’s clothes took a farmers wear turn.
Could be. Fashion is so fluid and cyclical.
Patrick Swayzes Grandfather?
I think you may be on to something there, Charlie! 🙂
About to star in a Jack London story.
Yes, indeed. It struck me that he looks a little rugged for the studio setting.
Love the boots : )
Same here.
