Today is my birthday, and one of the things I did to treat myself was to visit the nearby bookstore that sells old photos and splurge on a bunch. I don’t quite know what’s going on in this picture (is that the set for an amateur play? is the cake part of the play? if so, is it a fake cake used as a prop?), but I could hardly pass up such a fun, colorful photo, especially today.

It certainly looks like a stage set. Her outfit, hair and makeup remind me of “Mad Men.” I’ll buy whatever she’s selling, heh heh.

I love it! Especially the view out the window and the smiling door.
Oh, how funny, I’d noticed the weirdly curvy lines in the door, but somehow I hadn’t pieced them together as a smile. Thanks for pointing that out! With that, and the bright colors, I wonder if it’s the set for some sort of children’s show.
