Comments:
What’s unusual about this CDV, at least in my collection, is the horizontal (or “landscape”) orientation of the image. But it suits this photo well. Apparently the name of Defiance, a small town in the northwest corner of Ohio, originated with one U.S. General “Mad” Anthony Wayne, who ordered a fort built on the site in 1794 in defiance of the Native Americans he was then battling. The town of Defiance was named after Fort Defiance. And if you ask me, while the man looks pretty laid-back and the kids look dazed, the woman looks defiant.
