What I know about it:
Undated. On the back, in pencil, is written Milton in military school / Billerica Mass
Comments:
This photo seems to have such a soft, dreamlike quality to it that I wonder if it’s maybe an accident of development or a result of aging. I’m not expert enough to really know. In any case, I think it has an elegant simplicity to it. The initials MMBS on his uniform stand, I believe, for the Mitchell Military Boys School of Billerica, Massachusetts, which I gather no longer exists.
