Comments:
My initial impression of this photo is of a distinguished man in an elegant setting, like an opera house or something, but as soon as I notice the gap between the balustrade and the column, I am reminded that these are just artfully arranged set pieces in a studio. Still, they are nice pieces, as these things go. To my modern tastes, the clothing looks too casual to warrant the spiffy top hat, but I guess that just shows my own ignorance about period clothing. And is it me, or does he resemble Kevin Spacey?
