I believe you are looking at a man that has not had sex since his wedding day 4 years ago, and it was not memorable. Additionally, his wife looks absolutely possessed and he knows that as soon as the photo shoot is over, she is going to smack him a good one. Poor man.
She looks to me like she forced him to get their picture taken to show what a perfect couple they are.

Some people just look unhappy if they aren’t smiling. Hopefully that’s the case here, but I wouldn’t count on it.
Maybe they should use this photo in psychiatrists’ offices as a kind of Rorschach test. Have patients write an essay about whether/why they think the people in the image are so unhappy. It could be very revealing.
