What it is:
Photo (3.25 x 4.5 inches) mounted to a photo album page that includes other photos (I’ve obviously cropped out the rest of the page).
What I know about it:
Written on the photo is Wimpy Gene’s drinking buddy. It is from a set of loose album pages that largely feature pictures of a family named Condon. I already posted another photo from these album pages here.

I’ve hesitated to post this one because of the discoloration, but it’s such a great character shot that I thought others might enjoy it anyway as much as I do. This looks like a supporting character from a short story, some classic tale of hardscrabble Americana, our hero Gene struggling to make his way in this cruel world, while Wimpy provides a sounding board, a little comic relief, and perhaps a cautionary example. I wonder if, in real life, this guy Wimpy was more than a supporting character in anyone’s life but his own. Regardless, he can now, if only for a moment, be a fleeting character in ours.

Well penned Matt! You could have called this ‘the casual fisherman’ but anything with the name Wimpy deserves to be highlighted. Why the hell is he fishing in a suit?
Thanks, Mike! I’m not sure why he’s dressed like that. That might pretty much be the extent of his wardrobe. And I’m not sure what kind of fish he expects to catch in that spot.
