Carte de visite (CDV) measuring a bit less than 2.5 x 4.25 inches. The top corners have been trimmed, possibly to fit a frame.
What I know about it:
Photographer is Ward of North Adams, Massachusetts. Otherwise undated and unidentified.
Comments:
This is another photo that my mother gave me as a gift last year. It’s the second CDV from North Adams that she gave me that I’ve posted. (The other one is here.) While the photographers are different, and the subjects don’t appear related, I’m intrigued by the way they both have interesting shapes to their borders. Of course, the fact that they are similarly trimmed may mean there is some connection. Meanwhile, there’s this young man to consider. Quite the stately, chiseled profile.
