Comments:
I was having a conversation the other day with a costumer friend about men wearing pocket watches and other fob-like jewelry attached to their vests vs. attached to their jacket lapels. This photo reminded me that women wore such jewelry, too. I’m assuming this is a pocket watch, though I’m happy to hear if anybody thinks it’s something else. I don’t think I’ve ever seen an ornament like that–thanks for posting! Also, her face reminds me of Elijah Wood’s.
Funny about Elijah Wood, though I see what you mean, with her delicate features and elfin eyes. If you Google something like “woman wearing a pocket watch”, you’ll find similar images, though this one is certainly more on the ornamental end of the spectrum.
